The activities of PITEM Pa.C.E.

The “Heritage, Culture, Economy” plan is based on very broad and
constantly evolving programme of activities. Each action refers to
one the three simple projects that make up the PITEM Pa.C.E.:

To raise awareness

Making the lesser-known cultural heritage of ALCOTRA accessible to culture and tourism professionals, highlighting the specific features and the attractions of the area by means of modern technological tools for raising cultural awareness.

To preserve

Restore ALCOTRA’s heritage, optimise and share conservation methods, through the collaboration of organisations and by educating professionals, tourists and residents, to increase the tourism appeal of the area.

To reveal and promote

Opening up the cultural heritage of ALCOTRA to an ever-larger public, by creating an offer that promotes the idea of a sustainable and participatory tourism with the support of economic actors, accommodation facilities and tourist offices.

The Open Cultural Data Hackathon, a multi-day cross-border event dedicated to start-ups and innovative companies interested in discovering and exploiting the cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, of the border territories between France and Italy, which is still not sufficiently known.

Inauguration of the Prehistosite of the Museum of Prehistory of the Gorges du Verdon!

Official inauguration of the Prehistosite of the Musée de Préhistoire des gorges du Verdon in Quinson, one of the most important achievements of the PITEM PaCE, realised thanks to the commitment and passion of the Alpes de Haute-Provence Department and the Museum team. The site reconstructs six types of prehistoric settlements from the Palaeolithic to the end of the Neolithic period. An area that emphasises the importance of the dissemination of the oldest traces of man and his relationship with the territory.

Regione Piemonte and CSI Piemonte bring the “To raise awareness” project to the Turin Book Fair with an event dedicated to discovering the cultural heritage of the Alcotra area held on Friday 15 October in the prestigious setting of the Turin Book Fair.

Scoprire giocando, “Far conoscere” per attrarre

Regione Piemonte e CSI Piemonte portano il progetto Far Conoscere al Salone del Libro di Torino con un evento dedicato alla scoperta del patrimonio culturale dello Spazio Alcotra che si è tenuto venerdì 15 ottobre nella prestigiosa cornice del Salone del Libro di Torino.
Un novello Sherlock Holmes, bello, giovane e piacione, ma un po’ imbranato, soprannominato Sherry: ha bisogno del pubblico, che blandisce e implora di aiutarlo per risolvere un caso. È infatti scomparso un tale Mr. Pitem e Sherry, ovviamente, sospetta un omicidio.
